Ramna Park, the most beautiful place in Dhaka

Ramna Park is the most beautiful place and placed at the heart of Dhaka. There is a lots of trees and lakes in Ramna Park those are make it most beautiful place in Dhaka city. The area of Ramna Park is nearly seventy acres featuring many trees, lakes, landscaped gardens, pathways, separate area of relaxation and  recreation.

Ramna Park gradually lost it's real refection as it was in past time. Ramna Park started about 1610 CE during Mughal Rule when the Dhaka was founded by Subehdar Islam Khan under  Emperor Jahangir. After starting Ramna Park changed it's gloriousness many time in many situation. Ramna Park was most glorious in 19th  century when Mr. Dowes was the collector of British of Dhaka in 1825. He takes many steps to develop the Dhaka city and beautify Ramna Park also. In 1947, Pakistan regiment makes it important for some purpose. They increase the area of Ramna Park to 88.50 acres in 1949. And the present landscape view of Ramna Park was designed in 1952 by Public Works Department of  Bangladesh.

Now Ramna Park is a 68.50 (277,200 square miter) acres protected area and from those area 8.76 acres are covered by lake.  In Ramna Park has many kinds of tree as there is 71 species of flowering trees shrubs, 36 species fruit bearing plant, 33 species medicinal plant and 41 species of forestry, perennials, and annuals and 11 other species.

There is many beautiful, modern venues for recreation maintained by PWD and huge pathway to walk or jogging for city people. There have winded and five new gates to entry from different sides. Overall Ramna Park was most beautiful place in Dhaka, present day it is and it will be the most beautiful place in Dhaka City.

Dia Bari is a nice place to pass your leisure time in Uttara. Dia Bari is placed at Uttara model town in Dhaka North city. Actually Dia Bari is a residential area of sector 15 in Uttara Model town.
